Responsibility is built into how we deploy capital.
Balkan Capital Assets LLC believes that long-term returns in mining and natural resources depend on more than geology and price forecasts. They depend on stable communities, sound environmental practice, and supply chains that can withstand scrutiny.
Our responsibility work is not separate from our investment process. Community impact, environmental duty and sourcing standards are reviewed before capital is committed and monitored for as long as the engagement lasts.
We do not claim to solve every challenge. We do commit to funding projects and partnerships that meet the same standards we apply to our own balance sheet.

We fund schools, clinics and water infrastructure near the operations we finance, giving priority to projects the communities themselves ask for.
Environmental stewardship
Rehabilitation duties, tailings handling and water use are reviewed at the underwriting stage and tracked for the entire life of an engagement.
Responsible sourcing
Chain-of-custody documentation and internationally recognized certification standards are required before we provide financing against precious metals and gemstone production.

Each partnership is subject to the same rigorous due diligence applied to our capital commitments, ensuring that funds are deployed strictly for their intended purpose.
